Contractor Portal

What a contractor actually sees when they log in.

Contractors aren’t on a separate site — they’re logged into the same app you are, just with a sidebar scoped down to My Work: My Scope (every project they’re assigned to, with their trade, role, and status), My Issues, and My Profile. There’s no /portal URL for contractors specifically — that’s a different feature, covered in Owner Portal.

Within that scope, contractors can read project and system data, fill in checklist items, log and update issues, run functional tests, and work the schedule. They can’t touch templates, manage other contractors or org members, change settings, or read the audit log.

One thing worth knowing: the checklist page shows a “Read-only” banner to anyone who isn’t CxA, Admin, or Owner. That banner is about checklist metadata — the name, the assigned system — not the items themselves. A contractor can still fill in every item they’re assigned, right up until the checklist is submitted, regardless of what the banner implies. If you’re a contractor and it says “read-only,” you’re not locked out — keep filling your sections.
