Creating a Project

What the New Project dialog actually asks for — and what it doesn't.

From your dashboard, click New Project. You’ll need a Project Name and a Project Number (something like PRJ-2026-001 works) — both required. Address and Building Owner are optional.

One thing worth knowing up front: there’s no target or completion date on the project itself. Dates live at the checklist and schedule level, not the project record — so don’t go looking for a project-level deadline field, it isn’t there by design.

Your plan sets how many projects you can create: Solo gets 1, Firm gets up to 30 — counted on a rolling 12-month window from each project’s creation date, not “30 active at once.” If you hit the limit, you’ll see an upgrade prompt that links straight to Settings.
