Customizing Templates
Per-project details go on the checklist. Structure changes go on the template.
These are two different kinds of customization, and it’s worth keeping them separate. When you create a checklist, you set the system, subsystem, unit tags, and equipment details — that’s per-project customization, layered on top of whatever template you picked.
The template’s actual structure — its sections, its items, its signature roles — only changes at the template level. And since global templates can’t be edited directly, “customizing a template” always means the same thing in practice: clone it, edit your org’s copy, and use that copy going forward.
